A POEM ON "RAIN"(INSPIRED FROM FILMS LAGAN & GUIDE)
I sit on the vast field in summer,
AND see people huddled to-gather and murmur,
Once this fertile land,now scorched and crusty,
Waiting for rains to make it cool and misty.
To quench up their thirsts,
Feed those hungry stomachs,
Again allow farmers to plogh their fields,
And fill up cracks developed due to heat and then shield.
A noble sould sits in a cave,
Fasting unto death for a village to save,
Praying for the rains,
Noble dies, but his soul survives.
Rain falls in a trickle,
Tiny droplets of water on faces dribble,
Gathering momemtum by the distant tornado,
Building into a mammoth crescendo.
Villagers,rejoicing,dancing,celebrating,
Their faces brimming with happiness, smiles,
Henceforth, the village is transfomed,
Into a Heaven, not seen by man!

With the setting sun casting its golden rays
The Chaiwallas and Channawalas hawking their eats,
With the people roaming carefree enjoying the point
Now, the day has ended
And the night has fallen
And the birds have spread their feathers,
Some have found pebbles and stones
Others have found pearls and rubbies
But of what use are pearls and rubbies
When a people know not the real value,
Real value is to be found in the heart,
Where love resides mysteriously,
Oh Man! Wake up and unlock that mystery
And find the most precious gift of Nature
Because,love is a many splendoured thing
Blessed is the man who has experienced it
Pity the man who has lost it

HOW IMPORTANT IS MONEY TO YOU?
Money is very important in to-day's world,but only to the extent of giving physical comfort.And,what about mental comfort?That depends on your attitude.What attitude?It means how you look at money.If you are looking at money to buy your real mental or inner happiness, then the answer is a plain 'NO'Money can never give you 'real' happiness consistentely.
A friend,once asked me....."Manohar why don't you have money?"I counter questioned my friend...."Why did'nt Jesus had money?"My friend could not answer that.However, he had money in another form.He had spiritualism,he had wisdom,he had goodness,which more than made up money.He was supremely contented and blissful.Mind you friends, I am not using the word 'Happiness' here,because "Happiness' is a misnomer;real happiness is bliss,contentment and joy.Tell me,whether any rich man is completely happy,contented,blissful or joyous to-day as was Jesus Christ.And, do you know what's the reason for this unhappiness?.............THE LAW OF CAUSE & EFFECT.What's that?
Nothing happens without a cause.If you do wrong, its bound to come back to you as a negative reaction and you will pay for it.If you do good, then it is bound to rebound positively and you will get paid for it in abundant goodness.But what happens now?A rich man, on his way to accumulate wealth does something not in tune with this law,and he gets paid for it for his wrong doings.That is why he is not always happy or contented.So the ideal combination for a man is to have lots of money and at the same time to be spiritualistic.But being spiritual is more important than to have money.
Once a farmer asked Jesus........."Why there is not enough harvest?"And Jesus answered......"The land is plenty,but the tillers are few."
So money and spiritualism are both needed.But, if a man has no money,then at least he should have spiritualism for him to remain happy and contented.So, the importance of money is always there;but one cannot overlook the importance of spiritualism!
So, what is spiritualsim?There are only two kinds of people in the world.....The business class & working or service class, there is no third type of people.The business class are almost always rich class and the service class are almost always poor class.Both of these types live in a world of their own.
But the service class are more god-fearing than the business class.For the business class, MONEY is their GOD; for the service class,FAITH or BELIEF is their GOD.Both believe that their 'GOD' is bigger than each other.But the service folks are at an advantage here.For them their 'GOD' is their conscience and hence spiritualism is born faster in these people than the other so called business class.Only one in a million persons of a rich or business class can be termed as spiritualist!
Guatama Buddha was one of the rare spiritual soul,who was born into a rich family of kings.Yet, he knew the full meaning of spiritualism.He knew the distinction between poverty & richness,between fear & courage,between freedon & responsibility,right & wrong,heart & head.
So, friends,spiritualism has a very wide meaning.Its all about calmness,softness,honesty,integrity,righteousness,joy,happines,wholeness,oneness.Evenif, one of the top written virtues are missing in a person,he can never be called a spiritualist.
Hence the secret to spiritualism lies in being almost always poor in money, but rich in the above declared virtues!
ARE YOU READY FOR SPIRITUALISM?

WHEN DO YOU CALL A PERSON USELESS OR WORTHLESS
Hello my friends,.
First you have to observe Nature in all its glory.Watch the trees.At first, there is a seed,then there are roots,them the stem, trunk and body of the tree taking shape.The tree grows taller and taller with the help of water and sunlight.Suppose there was no water or sunlight,then what will happen?Yes, the tree will stop its growth and it will wither and die.So, each part is working in close co-operation to make the tree grow.After the growth of the tree,branches are born and from there the leaves sprout and finally, the fruit is grown among its leaves.
Next, watch the wind blowing in the atmosphere.Feel the wind blowing on your cheeks and experience its coolness,dryness,humidity.See the wind at work!Observe the wind swaying the branches,leaves,fruits of the trees.See,how some of the fruit falls off the trees deliberately on the ground so that other living entities can share the bounty of Nature!Have you seen that Nature does not crib here,but gives abundantly.
See another marvel of wind at play!Watch a tiger stalking its prey, maybe a deer in the vicinity.Mind you, he has not sen the deer,but its the wind carrying the smell of the deer that is atracting the tiger and the reverse is also true.The deer gets wind of the tiger nearby makes a quick exit!
Observe how breadth or wind is needed to play a musical instrument like a flute,trumpet....."Blow your own trumpet"
Go to the wind farm or wind park and watch a group of windmills or wind turbines at work.Its the wind which helps these turbines to revolve the fans and thus generate electricity.Finally, in Mother Nature, an intricate system is in continuous motion.One job leads to another,another job still leads to another,still another leads to...........it goes on and on.Imagine, if any one of the jobbers were to stop its activity and sit quiet.What will it happen?Yes, the Universe will come to a standstill and its death will be imminent.
This same principle applies to our human race also.If any person sits lazily in one corner doing nothing, the other activities of the human race will be affected.Nothing will move and nothing will be produced.He will be ultimately termed as a useless and worthless person.

technique discovered by our sages.It's one of the hottest topic in
to-days contemporary world.The west has gone nuts over it!
Meditation is just loosning your mind in space with your eyes
closed.You have to be relaxed and rested,Your mind will have 1000
thoughts,good thoughts,bad thoughts,or even absurd thoughts.Let all
these thoughts flow in your mind, without you being serious about
them.The best way to tackle these thoughts is to be an observer.Think
these thoughts don't belong to you and you are not involved.This
state, if prolonged for about 30 minutes will do the trick.The mind
will settle into complete calmness.
From here, the next step is creativity.Creativity is a novel way of
thinking.Scientists,Writers,Dancers and Sports persons will be the

"HOW DO YOU GROW AS AN INDIVIDUAL THAT IS "YOU" ONLY?"
This is the toughest question facing the homo sapiens.........
Homo sapiens is divided into two species:MAN & WOMAN.The brain of man is different from the brain of woman.Nothing wrong in there and not to be surprised.This is Nature's plan of balance and preservation.Man is beautiful and his woman is also beautiful.Each performs tasks as ordained by Nature.
But now, what has happened?Humanity is churning like a buttermilk in a mixie!Man is doing a woman's job and the woman a man's job.Why? Because there is no leader to guide them.And both the sexes are feeling they are right; but are they right?No, not at all! They are disobeying Nature.Nature is our God, Mother,Boss,Leader,Father everything; we are failing to observe Nature.
There is no difference between the animal kingdom and the homo sapiens as far as aspects of survival,emotions of love,sleep and waking patterns or procreation are concerned.Take the animal kingdom.Watch the Lion.How he comes close to the Lioness and rubs his neck in first love making sign to woo her.It is the Lioness who haS to decide whether to accept this Lion or not as her mate.If she rejects his advances, the Lion goes away and looks for another Lioness.
Consider, the Lioness accepts him.They start meeting often,making love,indulge in sex,mate and the Lioness gets pregnant.What happens now?The Lion will make her Lioness as comfortable as possible and put her in the best cave for her to deliver.
Now, the human race has just to watch the amount of care, the Lion exhibits!He will hunt for food everyday,sit near her,watch her face,lick her body to make her confident.And the Lioness will just look in his face and understand everything.Now, the little ones will be born.The Lion will continue to support her by regularly providing her with food and moreover his prersence near her.Here, you can see unbelieveably, how the Lion and the Lioness are displaying perfect individuality as ordained by Nature.
Now, what does the Man do when his wife gets pregnant.He will do the most stupid thing; he sends her to her mother's house for delivery.You know why?To keep away from the deadly mother-in-law, who wants to create trouble inspite of wanting a grand child!And God forbit,if a girl is born.Then all hell will break loose!The wife will bear all the insults available in oxford dictionary.And the poor Man is caught between the devil and the deep sea.He is not a Lion at all;he is impotent;just watches all the drama of his parents.In such a situation how can a person GROW as an individual?
Now, observe the next scene of the animal kingdom.The Lion and his family are growing up with tremendous love,confidence and understanding.The Lioness teaches her cubs how to hunt for food,think of survival and generally how to display a positive nature in life.Meanwhile, the Lion watches on the sidelines;never interfering in his wife's handling of the domestic responsibility.Even if the Lioness and her cubs go to her mother's house, the Lion will allot a certain period for her to return.If she fails to return,the Lion charges into his in-laws locality and lets out a big roar to let know that he has come to take her and she willingly obeys out of love.
And, what happens on our human scene?The poor wife has already suffered much at her in-laws house for delivering a girl.The in-laws are not happy.They all have long faces and start hitting the poor daughter-in-law with emotional explisitives.The daughter-in-law instead of radiating goes into an emotional upheaval.Her face shows a trauma and her white shining skin turns a sickly black.As time passes, she suffers more and more, ultimately leading her to commit suicide or landing herself in a mental hospital.And the husband watches all this soap opera behiond the curtain,being completely impotent to taking any action.All because hs is under family obligation as far as finance and other terms are concerned.
Have you seen a Lion and a Lioness fighting with each other?Never!But, the scene is horrible on the hman kingdom.The wife has already returned with a bitter experience from her in-laws; now she should adjust to her husband's tantrums.The husband, under the thumbof his paretns is a confused man.Who he should support---his wife or his parents?The fight between the couple goes on endlessly and there is no peace in the house.Here, 3 results can happen........suicide,divorce or going to her parents house.No such things are happening in the animal kingdom.But, is humanity learning anything?
You can GROW as an individual only when you are allowed to do your 'own' thing.What is this 'own' thing?Each individual is programmed by Nature to do different tasks.For instance,a woman may want to beautify her house in a particular way, for which her husband should support her totally.The husband has to understand that Nature has given a brain to his wife different from him.She has her own ideas for which the husband should appreciate.If she is not given the chance, she cannot GROW as an individual; she will stagnate and die!?!
Same thing goes for husband.Let him do what he feels is right; no interference from his wife is allowed.This is how both will GROW in creativity as a couple.A husband may want to grow a garden in his backyard; but the wife may not like the idea.If the husband is not given his SPACE, he will not be happy.The wife may love him for her own reason for not supporting his idea of a garden, but her love will be only from her head and not from her heart.
GROWTH IS POSSIBLE IN PLANTS IF THEY ARE GIVEN FREEDOM AND SPACE BY REGULAR WATERING AND SUNSHINE.
THE SAME LAW IS FOR THE MAN AND THE WOMAN.

And, what happens on our human scene?The poor wife has already suffered much at her in-laws house for delivering a girl.The in-laws are not happy.They all have long faces and start hitting the poor daughter-in-law with emotional explisitives.The daughter-in-law instead of radiating goes into an emotional upheaval.Her face shows a trauma and her white shining skin turns a sickly black.As time passes, she suffers more and more, ultimately leading her to commit suicide or landing herself in a mental hospital.And the husband watches all this soap opera behiond the curtain,being completely impotent to taking any action.All because hs is under family obligation as far as finance and other terms are concerned.
Have you seen a Lion and a Lioness fighting with each other?Never!But, the scene is horrible on the hman kingdom.The wife has already returned with a bitter experience from her in-laws; now she should adjust to her husband's tantrums.The husband, under the thumbof his paretns is a confused man.Who he should support---his wife or his parents?The fight between the couple goes on endlessly and there is no peace in the house.Here, 3 results can happen........suicide,divorce or going to her parents house.No such things are happening in the animal kingdom.But, is humanity learning anything?
You can GROW as an individual only when you are allowed to do your 'own' thing.What is this 'own' thing?Each individual is programmed by Nature to do different tasks.For instance,a woman may want to beautify her house in a particular way, for which her husband should support her totally.The husband has to understand that Nature has given a brain to his wife different from him.She has her own ideas for which the husband should appreciate.If she is not given the chance, she cannot GROW as an individual; she will stagnate and die!?!
Same thing goes for husband.Let him do what he feels is right; no interference from his wife is allowed.This is how both will GROW in creativity as a couple.A husband may want to grow a garden in his backyard; but the wife may not like the idea.If the husband is not given his SPACE, he will not be happy.The wife may love him for her own reason for not supporting his idea of a garden, but her love will be only from her head and not from her heart.
GROWTH IS POSSIBLE IN PLANTS IF THEY ARE GIVEN FREEDOM AND SPACE BY REGULAR WATERING AND SUNSHINE.
THE SAME LAW IS FOR THE MAN AND THE WOMAN.

"WHAT IS GOODNESS?"
Goodness is the highest virtue in a human being.Mind you, I am using the word 'highest',because it has some significance.Goodness can never work in being part,small,or little; it has to be total,comprehensive,and whole.Jesus Christ was the symbol of goodness; he did not possess even one bad trait.He was totally good,he was totally comprehensive in righteousness and he was totally whole in right thinking.
When you are totally good, you are like a GOD!There is an aura of brightness about your personality, which is seen and felt by the person close to you.Whatever he touches turns into gold!Upon seeing such a completely good person, all your problems and troubles seem to melt away.
There are many persons in the world who are good but are not totally good.They may earn money honestly in many ways, but they are equally corrupt in some other way.They may be philanthropists in their circle; but someone may curse them also.A good person is a honest person, who never cheats anyone in thought,word or deed.So part goodness is not goodness at all.Its like a student giving examination of his study.The amount of marks he gets will decide his merit.Suppose he gets 50%,60%,70%,80% or 90% will decide his intelligence.
But, if he gets 100% marks,he will be considered a perfectly intelligent student.People may look up to him as GOD also.Hence, if you want to be completely good,see that you are 100% perfect in all areas; no dishonesty in any field should be seen.

"ORIGINALITY & BOOK PUBLISHING"
What is originality?Originality is an exclusive thought or idea of a person not yet thought or said by another person.
My originality comes into play, when my mind asks a question, in the midway of a thought......."Whether this is possible?"
I am of the opinion that 90% of the books on fiction,stories,essays published in the world should not be written at all.Why? Because, they write out of compulsion; they offer to the reader nothing but environmental disaster of wasting our precious trees!I know the daggers will be out, but what about the content potential?Going still deeper, even some of the current bestsellers are boring to read.You have to look at the classics...............Dr.Zivago,The Ten Commandments,Ulyses,Samson&Delila,Cleopatra,Where Eagles Dare,Charlie Chaplin,Mother India,Malgudi Days,20,000 leagues under the sea,Marx Brothers,Gone with the Wind......such novel are full of inspiration, awe,entertaining,morals........a book you want to hold to your heart forever.I know everyone who writs will consider me a villain, who has come to spoil their party' but I don't mean any such thing.I only want to encourage them to come out of their closet with something original in content for the readers to enjoy.Let their ideas run wild, mad, illogical, but form there the writer can built up the essay, prose or fiction.
Another point in a compulsive writer is to write long and thick.They will empty the ink in the pen upto the last drop, and then fill up a number of times, writing,writing,writing.But,sadly, the taste of the pudding will only be in the last few pages of the book.And, when the writer does finish writing the entie book,he will congratulate himself on acheiving a milestone!Whew!

There are 2 types of richness in the world..........one of money and another of thoughts.Everyone knows about richness in Money; but what about richness in thoughts, words and deeds?
Richness in thoughts is about spirituality,about goodness,about order,about joy and happiness.How to do this without having Money in your bank?
Well, my friends, you can train your mind to help you.First you have to take into considewration about your attitude to Richness.This can be achieved in Thought, Word and Deed.
A THOUGHT is like a bomb or like Nature.It can destroy or it can create.Train your mind to be creative like Nature.Think of Goodness all the time........like inventions benefitting everyone alive on this planet.Once your mind works in this direction,then there is no stopping of your good thoughts continously, that will be creative in nature.Your mind will compel you to think that you are now Rich.
What is a WORD?A word is a group of alphabates in any language having some meaning;it may be any language of the people.There are good words as well as bad words in the world.Words like love, joy,handsome,beautiful are good words; whereas words like idiot,scoundrel,robber,selfish are bad words.People will judge you by the words that come out of your lips.Hence, train yourself to always use good words.If you can train your mind to use good words,you will feel immensely Rich within yourself.
And, finaly a DEED!A deed is an action resulting from your thought.So, a DEED is connected with your THOUGHT.But there is a magic formula for a DEED.What is that?
A decision that everyday you do one good DEED a day.You may wonder and laugh at me for making such a statement.Good DEEDS are many; but very few people implement them.The most powerful word in the world is the word ALLOW.You may get amused if I say this.........But ALLOW has a lot of power! If you ALLOW anything, that 'ANYTHING' ALLOWS you.This is the law of physics;Action & Reaction are equal in value, but opposite in direction.But there is a one catch here; it will only work for those people who ALLOW without any condition of compensation coming to them!You can do good DEEDS by ALLOWING the people their first rights to life.For instance, if an old blind person wants to cross the road, be the first to rush to his help; this will be your good DEED for the day.
If you are standing in a train or a bus, offer seat to a person in need; this will be your another good DEED.In this way, go on collecting good DEEDS for the day.I am sure that at the end of the day, you will feel immensely Rich.So, Money is not necessarily needed to feel Rich, there is another way to Richness too.

"HOW TO STOP SUFFERING?"
You can stop suffering midway between the thought and the desire.How to do it?Whenever the desire comes,and the thought comes, give it an INTERVAL, stop for a moment your thought for action.Mind you, you are not killing desire, nor are you trascending the desire; rather you are merely allowing your desire a SPACE.In such a situation, your mind will expand and become big and since you have taken an INTERVAL between your thought and your desire,you are on a different level playing field.
Mind you, you have not killed your suffering; neither you have not allowed suffering to get in either.So what have you done?You have allowed your mind to see suffering like a witness, which is not YOU.In such cases, suffering dies an early death.You are as innocent as a child.You don't know what is suffering;you are as light as a feather; you are like a tree shedding its leaves in spring; you are happy contented and joyful.In other words you have conquered the most deadly emotion of a hiuman.............SUFFERING.

Suffering happens due to desire, sensation and attachment.All these 3 concepts are joined to-gather.Consider, a sensation of a tongue.Whenever, you see something tasty, the first sensation is felt by your tongue; there is a watery feeling in the tongue and you yearn to eat something your mind has visualized.Then comes the attachment; you are attached to that tasty thing.So, your sensation has given rise to desire; desire has given rise to a thought; the thought has given rise to an attachment and finally sorrow results if you don't get it and consequently you suffer.

Random Thoughts........"Does Marriage Help You To Grow As A Person?"
Answer:----- The answer is 'yes' and 'no'
Surveying the contemporary marriage scenerio, I can say with authority that by and large, marriage does not help a person to grow as an individual.At least, this is true in an Indian Household.There may be some stray examples here and there of a succesful marriage, where the couple display their talents in a free society, but on the whole, marriages in India have failed to bring happiness and help the individual's growth as a person.
Three important issues are to be in focus here.......MONEY, NATURE & RELATIONSHIP
Money is only artificial happiness, but it seems to work in a marriage.Money is solving about 70% of the problems between the couple.A female donkey is known as a mare; and we have heard the popular quote..."Money Makes The Mare Go Round" Most couples argue, disagree and fight, because of lack of money.House bills being not paid on time, children's school bills being not paid on time,
entertainment not given a top priority are some of the top 'hot' spots where excessive heat gets generated.These get solved instantly by the power of money.
But the couple need no worry.Next in line is NATURE.If you are having a sound head on your shoulders, you have nothing to fear.You can be happy, if you are having a beautiful mind.What is a beautiful mind?Well, a beautiful mind is a mind of abundance, not of money but of thoughts, attitude and a general nature of well being.Such a mind is possible by training yourself to think in a particular way.What's that?
Well, you have to look at the drama in this way.You very well know that you And, are not a beggar.You might be in any small, medium or large business, or you might be in service earning sufficiently to maintain yourself and your family.Start thinking how much you are 'having' instead of how much you 'do not have'.Make a list with 2 columns.After completing the list, you will mostly observe that a column containing 'have' list is more than the 'have not' list.Suddenly your mind will have refreshing feeling of abundance.If you go on thinking in this way,you will develop an attitude and a nature which seems to fill up the cracks in the troubled marriage.And then, slowly and slowly, you will rub off this nature amongst your family members.Now, you have won half the battle; the other half will be won in due course of time.
Lastly, the Relationship factor is only a by product of Money & Nature.The biggest factor working in a loving relationship is a term callled 'Accepting & Agreeing'This is very difficult as well as very easy.Imagine 2 persons are discussing a simple topic as........."What Looks Good On A Lady:Maxi Or Sari?"
The hunsband: "A lady looks beautiful in a maxi than a sari"
The Wife : "It all depends on the likes and dislikes of an individual."
The husband : "Still, the sari is so difficult to cary off."
The Wife : "But the maxi is not good either; it reveals so much of a woman's anatomy."
The husband : "And what about the sari?If the pallav of the sari slps, when the lady bends,she is a more embarrasing situation than the girl in a maxi."
If you consider this type of discussion, it has no ending.But the couple will end upi in a fight of no consequence.The solution lies wherein one of the couple willingly and geniunely with love accepts the viewpoint and says 'Yes'And this is how the relationships develops between the couple.You can do such magic by destroying your ego and accept the other's point of view.If you go on accepting the other's point of view, a time will come when your opposite partner will also start accepting even your 'silly' points.This is the fast track to good relationship.This will also result in each person growing in creativity as an individual.You will be astonished at the amount of 'creative stock' that will be unleashed between the couple.The couple will begin more confident,more loving and a whole lot of understanding will suddenly dawn on the couple.This will bring nothing but more and more happiness in the lives of the couple.
So,it is possible to grow as an individual in a tricky relationship called "MARRIAGE!"
