An interesting question and a possibility.First,let us look at what is journalism?A journal is a newspaper,magazine,or any written material prepared like a bounded book.
Journalists usually begin their carrers by enrolling themselves in news borroughs,magazine companies,or just being free lance.They cover a wide variety of news ranging from domestic,police,international and report their data to their respective organisations through which they are associated with.The style of their writing is more news oriented than literary oriented.It is the usual the run of the mill type of writing.No fun,no pleasure of reading anything interesting.Journalists are of the same breed all over the world; their main job is of reporting.Journalists try hard to present themselves as front writers and that is why their writing is head-line oriented.Some instances:::::::::::::::::::

But,a literary writer is cast in a different mould.He goes through many processs,before making a mark as an establishd writer of repute.Just as a good product comes out a good mould,so also,good writers come out of good writings.First of all, a literary writer is a gifted man of letters.He has his original style of writing;he does no imitation.The literary writers's main forte is content;while a journalist's main strength is exciting head-line news reporting,with a bit of 'mirch-masala'.While a literary writer will go on to write a best-seller,a journalist will only succeed in writng a book based on facts & figures;there will be nothing literary about his works.So, a journalist aspiring to be a writer of repute will be difficult.Why? because creativity is missing in a journalist.His mind is trained for reporting only;he has no time to think in a different way as a writer.His writing is mere commentary as in a cricket match.Journalists are like actors,who want to go to direction after sometime.Maybe, they get bored of their jobs or they want to seek greener pastures of a writer of a novel.
So,journalism is only about writing;but a literary content is not about writng only.Its about a passion,a style,an originality,a creativity,fun,joy,beauty,enjoyment,arts................

Now, imagine a highly reputed literature author writing a book.The title of his book will at once reveal his power as a writer.Some example:::::::::

A literary writer will have his own way of writing.His style will be elegant and his conversations interesting.For instance, an ordinary write may say....."Where did you disppear?" ....A literary writer will ask...."Where did you disppear like a ghost?"One can read conversations of novels written by Sidney Sheldon, the biggest crime writer of all time.Or take the case of a literary writer,Sir Walter Scott,He wrote a book:::::Mariamian, A Tale Of Folden Field(1808) Watch his words...
"Oh,what a tangled web we weave,
When first,we practice to deceive."
His content will be polished and well written.

To sum up,journalism does not necessarily create a writer in you,but only report writing and literary content writing.Finally,I would call journalism as business writing and literature as creative writing,valued for their beauty,of form,espaecially for novels,poetry and plays.

"Does Freedom Bring Innovation & Joy?"---An Essay

Nature is free and yet is bound by law.You feel so much joy,happiness,peace in nature.Anything that brings destruction does not bring in joy and nature knows this very well.It works within the law and yet is free of the law.

Why are there earthquakes,storms,tornadoes in nature?Because,nature is angry that somewhere,some law has been violated and wants to maintain a balance and thus punish the lawbreakers.Who are the lawbreakers?Maybe,someone from the human kingdom,or the animal kingdom or the planetary disturbances in the Cosmos.We cannot pinpoint with certainty that who has broken the law and that is why the catastrophe has followed.It is like a revolving wheel of a cart-horse.So long it is revolving,it is revolving.The moment you put a spoke in the wheel,then all hell will break loose.The wheel will stop revolving,the cart will stop going further and the horses will refuse to run.

Now, what is the law?A law is like breaking one of the ten commandments of Jesus.If you can work within those commandments,you will find happiness and joy.Its like signing a bond with nature and adhering strictly in its implementation.Only those who know the law can go beyond it.However,man on the other hand has lost his way.He equates freedom with unlimited license for indulgence.It is here, that his freedom gets destroyed and his soul gets chained into sin,deprivation,lust,greed,temptation.How to get the soul out of this mess?Understand,that the soul is free and joy is bound by law;it is ironical but true.Let the soul run free in your heart and bring out all the talents,merits,innovation to the fore.This acivity of man brings him more and more in face of the society and this is the true freedom that the man is seeking.

Freedom is totally naked and upright!It does not seek obscurity to reveal itself.Look at nature.The seed in the fertile soil comes out of obscurity to sprout,the bud to flower and the fruit to appear on its branches among its leaves.In the same way,the soul is constantly struggling to innovate,to creat something new and release its talents and this is not to boast itself of its power, but simply for maintaining an intricate and delicate balance in nature.Why does it indulge in all this acitivity?It wants simply to be free and realise itself and contribute to this bounty of nature.Freedom entails responsibility and true freedom is without any pressure and responsibility;it simply is in existence.When this type of freedom is at play,there is a birth of innovation & joy;it is absolutely effortless!

"IS EGO AND SELF INTERCONNECTED?"---AN ESSAY

The first question is: What is ego and self?
Ego is false pride and the self is the real personality of a person.Both are called "I"; but the "I" in ego is false and the "I" in self is real.You can put it this way.....Ego is the devil or saturn and the self is the angel or God.But, now a human being has fallen into a trap!Ego is dominating the self in every aspect of life.... be it in commerce,relationships,inventions,knowledge,study or what not.How was this ego born?Ego was born out of knowledge and not wisdom.Now, what is the difference between knowledge and wisdom?Knowledge is what you learn in school or college.Subjects like,history,geography,mathematics is called knowledge.Knowledge will help you to get a job in any company;but it will not help you to live a life of peace,calm or joy.If you require real happiness or bliss,then you will require wisdom.You can get wisdom by training under a spiritual Guruji.He cannot teach you about school subjects,but he can tell you something about the secrets of life like,awareness,meditation,life beyond,sound judgement.These are the real virtues of life which can stablise a person in his personal life and his family.
Knowledge is false information gathered by humanity since the birth of man.Mind you, don't confuse this knowledge with inventions created by scientists.But it is a fact that whenever, a scientist discovers anything new,"I" is born and this "I" is the ego.And when this happens, the mind of man takes a u-turn;it becomes unreasonable,illogical,wrong,and destroys the self, the real "I".
Speaking about self,the self is like God Inc.It has truth,beauty and innocence.How to recognize this truth,beauty and innocence?Truth can only be recognized by the self only when ego is separarted from it.Its like separating water from milk.Once the whole water is drained off from the milk by heating,you get the real milk.Beauty is always within and not outside.All beautiful man-made structures are mirages;they are temporary.Why?Because of possessiveness.Once you want to possess beauty,it is lost forever.You buy an expensive painting at an art gallery,you own it and you hang it on the wall of your bedroom.What happens?After sometime,you lose interest in your painting and beauty is lost.On the other side,observe a rose with thorns in a pond.If you don't possess this natural wonder,you will admire the rose as well as the thorns.Here,beauty creates a kind of adventure,a thrill!And,what about innocence?Innocence is your very nature.Truth and beauty will draw you into deep meditation.Meditation is complete relaxation of the mind,soul and body.Once you are in this state,innocence will be born.Try it!

Ego and self are interconnected.Once you separate ego from the self,you are in bliss,joy,happiness.How to do this? You can do this by just witnessing,watching,observing without any judgement.If you judge even once, the full magic is lost.The mind has become tired of judgement.How many things to judge in life? How many judgements a mind can handle.....a thousand,a million,a billion?Its madness!Now,we want our minds to relax,to rest,to open up,to enjoy silence,which is real rest.When you see the world outside with billions of objects,it has disastrous effect on the mind......it becomes extremely tired,because it has learnt to judge only and critisize and not enjoy.How many things to judge in life and what do we get from judgements.....nothing but misery!What is right,who is wrong,no one can prove;it is all madness,churning in a fake world.Now, we want our minds to rest,to ease,to experience joy and this can be done by just observing,witnessing without judgement.Keep a tab on your mind by strictly telling it not to judge.

Many people want to know what is witnessing?Witnessing is just looking or observing without any judgement.Observe anything in your house....e.g.a chair.Don't judge the chair,don't have a description of the chair in your mind.Just witness as an object of existence.Slowly and slowly,the chair will disappear from your mind.Why has this happened?Because, the mind has become clear,empty and there is only one object,'chair' in your mind.If you have too many things in your mind,then the mind becomes confused;there are far too many distractions for the mind to handle.
Now take an emotion of hate.Don't judge hate;see it as a way of life,be silent,let your mind be cool and slowly, this feeling of hate will disappear.

Consider witnessing as a form of God,who is about to transform you.There is a difference between a witness and a doer.The doer is a corrupted man,full of flaws and no beauty; a witness is a man of existence,like a God.Imagine, among all the noise,dins,sounds,chaos of the world,you are a witness.The noise is there,but the sound is muted;it is like soft music in a very low decibal.You are in the centre of a circle and the full circumference belongs to you.In fact, you become the whole circumference and existence and disappear,become invisible,dead and merge with the universe to become one whole and nothing else.
When this happens,life becomes one big celebration,a party you never want to end!When you reach this stage,a great peace and silence will dawn on you.You become centred with bliss,joy and happiness.You will feel a great burden on you mind being suddenly lifted and an unusual innocence will come over you.You will be like a new-born child in the midst of nature!

What Makes A Best Seller?----- An Essay.

Originality comes into play, when one’s mind asks a question in the midway of a thought…………. “Whether this is possible.”

I think 90% of the books published in the world should not be written at all .Why? Because they write out of compulsion, they offer to the reader nothing but environmental disaster of wasting our precious trees! I know the daggers will be out, but what about the content potential?

Going still deeper, some of the best sellers are boring to read. You have to just look at the classics……..The Bible, The Ten Commandments, Dr. Zivago, Ulysses, Samson and Delilah, Cleopatra, Where Eagles Dare, Charlie Chaplin, Mother India, Malgudi Days, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Marx Bros., Gone With The Wind,…………these books are full of inspiration, awe, entertaining, morals……..a book you want to hold to your heart forever! The Bible is the highest selling book in the world; it has sold more than 15 billion copies worldwide. The Ten Commandments is another gripping book on the life of Jesus Christ; it is the most popular book in the world.

I know everyone who writes will consider me a villain, who has come to spoil their party; but I don’t carry any such thought. I only want to encourage them to come out of their closet with something original in content for the readers to enjoy. I know this is difficult for many writers, but I can give them a start. Let their ideas run wild, mad, illogical, but from there the writer can built up the essay, prose, fiction or even poetry.

Another trait in a compulsive writer is to write long and thick. They will empty the ink in their pens up to the last drop and then fill up a number of times, writing, writing and writing. But the taste of the pudding will be in the last few pages of the book. And, when the writer does finish writing the entire book, he will congratulate himself on achieving a milestone. Whew!

Novels can be an interesting read, when they have something new to offer to the readers. Let their content be their real experience, observation or a news items. And, mind you, it is not the complete novel that is important………but each and every page of a novel must be exciting and eager to be looked forward to by the readers. Many writers write hundreds of pages of a novel, but not concentrating on the title. They fill up the pages with useless conversations, extensions of no consequence, reflecting the general apathy of the writer. These type of writers make the last few pages very interesting; but by that time, the reader is exhausted and bored to death! Hence their novel can never be a bestseller. A bestseller novel is power packed from page one to page last. It is loaded with exciting feeds like an original story, fantastic locales, mind blowing characters and meaty interesting conversations, that will ring true. This type of novel must engage the reader immediately from the opening page itself. Once the reader picks up the novel, he should be hooked to it, should not like to put it down, but rather finish it in one go!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE PICTURES TO YOUR NOVEL?

Yes,it would be a fatastic idea and it could be the first of its kind ever implemented in a noval;provided of course the publisher,editor or others agree that this idea of picturization in a novel will be a value added commercial concept for the publisher or the author,whoever funds the cost to print the novel.

How will these pictures be depicted in a novel?Well, the picturization of a novel will be conditioned,reserved and limited for only such novels where it is necessary that such pictures will add value to the reading public and make them enjoy the novel.I feel,spy novels having adventure as its theme will be favourites for picturization..........e.g.Superman,Batman,Spiderman,Lone Ranger on a horseback.Then novels on wars themes will be ideal to print pictures,where you can see bombers dropping bombs on enemy territories or a ship be hit by an underwater missile sinking in the occean;all these scenes will be very exciting to see in colours.

Its a very tricky situation and one must not get caught in a catch22 situation.The author should be the first person to decide picturization of a novel to be implemented or not,followed by the editor and the publisher.However, it is worth mentioning here that if the publisher is given this right,then the novel will not be a success commercially.How many pictures could be in a novel will depend entirely on the writer himself,because he knows best where to put the pictures to have a maximum blast on the readers!Finally, there is no guarantee,whether a picturization of a novel will be a benchmark for success.However, going by the thumb rule scale of 1 to 10,I feel the picturization score could be in the range of 7/10.

That gives me another fantastic idea for the publisher! What's that?
Well,to produce a picture version of a written novel,just print it like a whole comic book.So, the publisher will have 2 books to publish.........one,a written novel in a digital format and two picture version of a digital written novel.Would that be not exciting?Both versions of the books could be awarded copyrights to the author only.So, as far as the sale of the novel is concerned,I think the readers would like to own both! So much the better for the publisher.Children will love the picture versiion and adults the both versions.

HOW IS CHANGE RELATED TO HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS?

Change is life,a movement,a kinetic energy.Without change,there is death!Change is like a human being throwing off old clothes and wearing new ones.Change is a new form of life,a new beginning,an old chapter of a book closed and going over to the next one.So,don't be scared of change;rather embrace it,accept it and believe in it.Its one of the cycles of life,the other one being stagnancy.Every moment is a change.From life to death,change is inevitable.You have no control
over it;rather change controls you.So it is best you adopt to this change.Seconds change into a minute,minutes into an hour,hours into a day,days into a wek,weeks into a month.months into a year,years into a millinneum.The particles of matter are in continuous change;but the matter as a whole is constant.Every idea,a thought,an emotion is a potential form of energy.It remains dormant;but explodes when ignited with action!

Change is the law of the Universe.And, a human being is a part of this Universe and so is his human consciousness.So, whenever, there is a chnage in the Universe,it is reflected in the human consciousness.Stars falling out of the sky affect humans subtly.Suppose, a planet like Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus,or any other planet of the solar system was to explode into pieces,what will happen?One cannot say what will happen;but one can be surely certain that some bad omen for the human on the planet Earth.So,if there is peace prevailing in the Universe, there will be peace for the humans on Earth.Human consciousness is like human wisdom.If you sit silently with your eyes closed and think of the universe,you can learn manyaspects of the universe.No doubt,the universe is very mysterious and it will be extremely difficult to know all the answers.......like....."What is this Universe"? "What are these giant heavenly bodies floating about in space?" "How are these bodies working in tandem with eachother"? "When was this universe created"? All the planets of the solar system are revolving on its axis and also moving round the King planet..i.e.The Sun.The perfect synchronizing of this order is such that one believes that it is created by God.Because of the vastness of the cosmos,a tiny disturbance resembles a giant one for our planet earth!These are suble changes happening in the cosmos,but affecting our earth in a massive way.How to counter this change?No way;it is beyond us,we are merely a millionth part of an insect called a human on earth.

Added to this 'power' of change,humanity is adding to the mess.At present,or planet Earth is in a total turmoil.Why is so?Yes, there must be some disturbance out there in the Universe.First, there is a problem of global warming ceated by man by letting out unchecked Co2 into the atmosophere.This results in climate change on the planet Earth.The humanity knows this problem,but still it is reluctant to correct itself.Then, there are some mini wars fought between nations over land ownership.These wars result into more pollution relased into the atmosphere.No one can stop this mess leading itself to doomsday!Finally, many nations are stockpiling nuclear weapons,leading humanity to further insecurity and threats of survival.
What is this disturbance?Disturbances might occur when planetary movements are not going about in order, and this is again due due to the 'power' of change constantly taking place in the Universe!Agreed,man is powerless against the forces of the cosmos;but he has one very powerful tool of consciousness,which no one can take it away from him.....and that is awareness.He has to be very strong and implement this awareness vigorously.For instance,take global warming.This was created by man and should be destraoyed by man only.Let all the humanity of the planet earth realise this dangerous phenomenon and take appropriate measures to counter this.I quote a thought of poet-prophet of alternative medicine,Dr.Deepak Chopra...."Events out there responds to thoughts and wishes in here."Another of his quote....."Ultimate power rests with those who are most aware."

Only a single reason can check this unbalance.What is that?The fault lies in the Universe.There has to be some unpleasant activity going on unchecked out there in space,which is reflected here on our planet Earth.Hence, unless there is peace prevailing in the Cosmos, there will be little peace on our planet Earth.

IS CO-OPERATIVE MOVEMENT SUCCESSFUL TO-DAY?

Fear is the deadliest of the emotion in a human,animal,bird,insect or even maybe a plant.Fear has 2 froms........imaginary and real.

The modern world has turned itself into a colossus bed of insecurity,where greed and power are the main causes.The more a man has,the more he wants.And, when he cannot get 'more' by fair means,he goes to the other extreme......i.e.to get by any means.This results in restlessness and fear is born here in a man.Many people use fear to get their work done,little realizing that one day, this monster created by them is going to destroy them.How?Yes, by the law of KARMA! Yes, by the law of physics.....Action and reaction are equal and opposite.

For instance, take the co-operative movement of a society.The government started this movement so that people can live in harmony with one another for the smooth functioning of the society.But, look at what is happening?The members elected by the people has become emperors in their heads!They act dictatorial,unreasonable and also break the very laws enacted by them.So the smooth functioning of the society suffers and there is no peaceful atmosphere prevailing.The elected members sit on chairs away from the real people who have elected them.The people facing them are made to feel puny near them.The president,the secretary, the manager and other office bearers look at their own people with a look that belittles them,but they have no option.Many allegations and counter allegations are hurled at each other,but inspite of the chaos,the meeting has to go on.Ultimately,many unpopular decisions are taken by a few members present,leaving the people with a bad taste in their mouths!
I feel the co-operative movement of the society has been an utter failure.

Now, compare the Panchayti Raj in a village.Here, the 'Head' called 'Sarpanch' is a respected man;his decision is final and binding on all the villagers and the people respect his decision,because there is truth in his decision.

But, here in a co-operative movement the elected office bearers use fear to subdue us.They hold us to ransom,if we do not follow their 'dictat'.I feel the first word to be knocked out in these co-operatives is the word...NOTICE.This word is clearly a word from Hitler;a more friendly word used could be ....INFORMATION.And have you seen a meeting conducted in a Panchayti Raj?The 'Sarpanch' or the head sits in the middle of the enclave and the people(i.e. the villagers) surrounding him in a semi-circle are like his children.At the signal from the 'Sarpanch',his assistant starts the proceedings;all this while, the 'Sarpanch'hardly talks.When both parties conclude their talks,the 'Sarpanch' just announces the verdit in either of the favour of the complainant or against him.That's it!It is sealed,delivered and handed over by word of mouth.

Even the title 'Sarpanch' given to him shows meaning.Break the word into 2 parts,you get...'Sar' meaning head and 'Panch'meaning panchayat or the whole people.And there are no courts for litigation.

Why could not our society perform their duties so that no one can even think of going to court.It may be idealistic,but we can always work on such lines.Lastly,it is imperative for the elected members to understand that the people who elected them are more powerful than the office bearers!

DOES NATURE SEEM TO KNOW MATHEMATICS?

Nature has many mysteries which at times may defy reason; but most of the time, there is logic, conviction and sureness in Nature. One of the mysteries of Nature is in the field of Mathematics. Does Nature know its Mathematics?

If you watch all the heavenly bodies of the Universe, you will observe that they are all round in shape. The sun, the moon, the earth, planets of the solar system are all floating bodies, round in shape, in a vast round expanse, in a round black hole called the Universe. Why is it so? Yes, because roundness represents life and flatness represents death! A baby is born in a round sack inside the stomach of its mother. The most important of the baby is its head, which is mysteriously round, the fingers and toes of the baby are round and there is a round neck fixed on top of the torso of the body.
Then, have you observed the games people play? A cricket ball, a basket ball, a football, a tennis ball, a carrom striker, colored balls on a billiards table………all these objects are round in shape. Why? Because, Mathematics is involved in each of these objects. How?
Have you observed the shape of veggies & fruits?..............apples, oranges, watermelons, brinjals, potatoes, onions, cabbage, lotus stems………the list is endless. All these commodities are round, because there is life in roundness. The diameter and the circumference of any round object is working on the principle of Mathematics. The circumfderence of any round object is a little more than 3 times its diameter. This unique fact was discovered by a brilliant mathematician, Archimedes around 200 B.C. Archimedes was born in the Greek city state of Sicily in the year 287 B.C. to 212/211.In fact,Archimedes died while working on some formula of a circle.It was war time in Sicily,the rampaging enemy soldiers had invaded the city.Archimedes was sitting on the ground with a compass in his hand and a circle was drawnwith a chalk on the ground.As the soldiers surrounded him,he uttered...."TAKE MY HEAD BUT NOT MY CIRCLE" The soldiers assumed him to be an enemy and they killed him on the spot.If Archimedes was alive to-day,we would have known more of his innovative mathematics. The calculation of the above problem gave rise to a Greek letter (π), which was first used by a Welsh Mathematician, William Jones. But, now a little known mathematician, a caferati member has come up with a new theory that this letter (π) is available in the circle itself, which looks more authentic than the Greek symbol (π). Next, go to a calm pond in your locality; pick up a small stone and drop it into the pond. What do you see? Watch the spreading rings appear in the pond. If you measure its diameter and its circumference, you will see that pi (π) is very much involved. So, you cannot make any round object without the fixed formula of π working on it. Then, there is a disc drive in to-day’s computers, an apparatus that turns the disc on a computer, while data are recorded or retrieved. All these round objects are working in tune with mathematics and π is very much present in each of these objects.
Observe a nucleus of an egg, a seed, head of a sperm; all are round, creative and life giving, where mathematics is involved in all these miracle objects. Hence without roundness, you can never proceed in life; there will be death and destruction without roundness.
And, what about money? Real money is not paper currency, but the sound of tinkle created by round coins falling on the ground………maybe a dollar, a dime, a ruble, a rupee, an eight Anna coin, or a five rupee coin. So, here again, mathematics is involved in making these coins!

Now, hear this unusual logic. Even flatness is created from roundness and not vice versa. You can easily draw a square or a rectangle in a circle; but you cannot draw a circle in a square or a rectangle touching the entire circumference of the circle; its impossible. Even a triangle(meaning flatness) can be drawn in a circle (meaning roundness) taking its diameter as its base and taking half its diameter as its radius. But, can you draw a circle in a triangle? You can, but it won’t touch its entire circumference. Think of a page, a book, ruler, rubber(eraser); a page or a book contains paper, where round trees are involved, a rubber is from round plantation trees grown in Malaysia. What about Xerox printing machines, where the roller is round in shape.

In making a round object, try making a circumference 4 times its diameter; can you make it? ……….. No way. The diameter and the circumference will only match the formula pi (π) as ordained by Nature.

Lastly, you must have seen a dead body of any human, animal, bird, insect or maybe a plant; these turn flat after life is sucked out from within, proving that flatness is death.

So, there you are; Mathematics is all the time working in Nature!
